Suresh Raina, captaining CSK, won the toss and elected to bat first.

SRH win CSK at Hyderabad

After playing the first two overs cautiously, Faf Du Plessis started to take on the bowlers as Shane Watson also joined in. They combined for a 79 runs partnership on a tough pitch with Faf Du Plessis getting 45 and Watson getting 31. Once they both got out, CSK could not recover as none of the other batsmen could get going. They missed MS Dhoni as they could a good finish. Rayudu finished with unbeaten 25 off 21 balls and Jadeja coming, in the end, faced 20 balls for just 10 runs as they ended with a score of 132 in the 20 overs which was definitely 25-30 runs short.

Coming out to chase, David Warner took the game away from CSK straight away smashing a quick 50 off just 24 balls. Once Warner got out, Bairstow took it on and finished the match off with an unbeaten 61 off just 44 balls.
They did lose a few wickets with Tahir bowling well, but that didn't really cause too much damage to SRH.

SRH will feel that they have come back after a losing streak with a clinical victory today. Once again the openers did the job with the bat and before that the bowling really won them the game. CSK really missed Dhoni both as a batsman and a captain. They would have liked to capitalize on the good start they got, but the middle order didn't really step up today.
