After India’s World Cup defeat, Indian skipper Virat Kohli is back to India and he was spotted at Mumbai Airport according to reports. But it looks like Vice-Captain Rohit Sharma’s name is still riding high in the book of ICC World Cup 2019. The Indian opener had a great World Cup except for very few innings including the semi-final match against New Zealand.

ROHIT SHARMA has topped the charts in ICC’s latest WC19 numbers

Rohit Sharma’s records in the World Cup 2019 has created a storm in the cricketing fraternity. His 5 path-breaking centuries has indeed created a never before seen record in a single World Cup. A few days back ICC conducted a twitter poll asking “Which is your favourite innings of #CWC19?”. Williamson’s unbeaten 106 against SA, Morgan’s 148 against Afghanistan, Brathwaite’s 101 against NZ and Rohit Sharma’s 140 against Pakistan were listed down. At the end of the poll, Rohit Sharma won with 40% of the audience’s vote.

Of late ICC released top 5 run-scorers of the tournament and undoubtedly Rohit Sharma topped the list. He also got placed in ICC’s team of the tournament. Now, ICC has released a statistics with the hashtag “#CWC19 in numbers” in which the “Hitman” is seen occupying the batting department completely. He has grabbed the spots of “Most Runs" (648), "Most Boundaries" (81) and "Most Hundreds" (5)” in the chart.
