The World Cup 2019 finals turned out to be the most dramatic match ever as it had a Super Over tie which later favoured England based on the number of boundaries. After 2 and a half months, ICC changed the rules for World Cup matches.

Neesham’s funny tweet reminds Goundamani comedy

ICC released a press statement on October 14 (Monday) on the revision of the new set of rules for ICC events. As per the new rule, if the super over ends up in a tie in group stages, the match will be tied. In Semi-finals and Finals, if a super over gets tied, then it will be repeated again until any one of the teams’ scores maximum runs.

The news has made the New Zeland all-rounder Jimmy Neesham to take a dig at (but in a funny way) ICC for not making the decision at the right time. His tweet could be related to popular Goundamani Comedy in which he says "Ini Nee Vayasuku vandha enna varala na enna (What is the purpose of you attaining womanhood after I've lost my manhood)”.

In the film, Goundamani would get married to a girl without knowing that she has not attained womanhood yet. Later, once the girl attains womanhood, Goundamani would have lost his manhood. Therefore, he says the dialogue "Ini Nee Vayasuku vandha enna varala na enna”

Similar to the above comedy, Jimmy Neesham tweeted using “Titanic” reference indicating the ship would have been saved if better binoculars were available for Ice spotters. Finally, “Make Hay While the Sun Shines” takes the common side of ICC’s late decision and Goundamani’s late fortune in the above-mentioned comedy track.
