ADDING RAIN TO ROHIT - OLD STORY AT OLD TRAFFORD - INDIA DEFEATS PAKISTAN 7 TIMES IN A ROW!

In the 22nd match of ICC World Cup 2019, India played against Pakistan at Old Trafford on Sunday. India won Pakistan by 89 runs by DLS method after rain cut short the match. Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl.

India scored 336 runs in 50 overs for 5 wickets loss. Though rain interrupted the match briefly, India continued to play. "HITman" Rohit Sharma scored 140 runs off 113 balls blasting 14 fours and 3 sixers. Virat Kohli scored 77 of 65 balls and left the field mistaking that he was out. Amir took 3 wickets for Pakistan while Ali and Riaz took 1 each.

Before Pakistan could bat, rain interrupted the match. However, match continued and Pakistan began to continue steadily. But soon Pakistan started to lose wickets. Zaman scored 62 of 75 balls and Azam scored 48 of 57 balls. Imad Wasim, who came to bat at a crucial stage, scored 46 of 39 balls.

After rain interrupted the match again, the target was revised to 302 in 40 overs by DLS method. India was 243 in 40 overs. Pakistan went on to score 212 for 6 wicket loss in 40 overs. Shankar, Pandya and Yadav took 2 wickets each for India. Shankar, who came in as replacement for Dhawan following his injury, bowled his first ball following Bhuvi's exit due to injury and took wicket in the first ball, creating a record.

With this victory, India has beat Pakistan 7th time successfully in a row in World Cup. Rohit was named Man of the Match.
