The incident where a Nigerian youth cheated a teenager through dating off and extorted money has caused shock.
Enuka Arinsi (36), a young man from Nigeria, got acquainted with a young woman from Alappuzha, Kerala through dating. He then spoke eagerly and asked for his family details, saying he loved her.
Following this he has aroused desire by saying that he has crores of money and will bring it for you when he comes to India. In this context, he said that he had come to Delhi a few weeks ago and had taken Rs 1.50 crore. He also told her that the Delhi airport authorities did not allow him to take the money and that he would have to pay Rs 10 lakh to get it. The woman who believed this immediately sent the money he asked for.
Following this, the young man asked for another 11 lakh rupees and without thinking, the girl went to the bank and tried to send the money. The suspected bank officer has informed the police. The matter came to light when the police rushed to investigate the woman involved.
Following this, the Delhi Police was informed and an investigation is underway. It is learned that the Nigerian youth had talked to a Kerala woman and snatched the money while he was staying in a hotel room in Noida next to Delhi. Following this, the Kerala police rushed to Delhi and arrested the youth.
Subsequent investigations revealed that Enuka Arinsi was camping in Delhi with her family.
