Ganesh Prasad Hotel is located on Rajagopal Nagar Road in Manipal, Karnataka. Do not assume that the restaurant will have waiters and chefs. The couple is serving home-cooked meals with their own hands.
Home food
This is not like the hotels we usually go to. These grandparents serve people only home-made food here. They started the restaurant business in 1951 with the lofty idea of satisfying the hunger of the people at a low price. That is why food is still served at their hotel for 50 rupees.
The couple feeds everyone who is hungry with fries, pickle, waffle, pudding, lentils, sambar, broth and buttermilk. In this hotel that looks like home, this elderly couple is looking after their customers and serving food. This is why the locals affectionately call it the Grandparents Shop.
