Police in Madhya Pradesh have arrested a couple in connection with the mysterious death of a 63-year-old man.
Tragedy
Rajkumar Mishra hails from Mauharia village in Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh. The 63-year-old died mysteriously a few days ago. Mishra was initially suspected to have died of a heart attack, but police have now found that Mishra was murdered by a husband and wife from the same area.
Noise heard in the garden
Shyamlal hails from Mauharia village. He finished work last night and went home late. At that time, he was confused because his wife was not at home and he was looking for his wife in the neighborhood. In this case, Shyamlal went into the garden when he heard a noise in the garden near the house.
It is said that Shyamlal's wife and Mishra were there at the time. Following this, Lal seems to have attacked Mishra. It is said that Lal's wife also attacked Mishra and threw the unconscious Mishra away.
Breakthrough
While it was believed that Mishra may have died due to a heart attack, the police started an investigation after finding out that Shyam Lal's wife's phone number in Mishra's phone. Only then did the police discover that Mishra and the woman were having affair.
Following this, police said that during interrogation of Shyamlal and his wife, both of them confessed to the murder. Assistant Superintendent of Police Sivakumar Verma said, "It has been revealed that the couple committed the murder together. The couple also stole a gold chain and money from the deceased. We have registered a murder case against the accused under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). They have been produced and are currently in police custody. "
