On January 21 (Tuesday) Zomato announced that it has acquired the Indian shares of Uber Eats. Reportedly Zomato acquired Indian Uber Eats that will give the former 9.99% stake in the Indian food and restaurant platform.
Therefore Uber to discontinue operations, direct restaurants and delivery partners. The deal comes after Zomato had raised $150 million funds from existing investor Ant Financial, an Alibaba affiliate, at a $3 billion valuation.

Uber Eats also acknowledged the deal on its official platform as quoted below.
We have announced today that Zomato has acquired Uber Eats in India. As such, you will no longer be able to order from Uber India, but you will be able yo enjoy your favourite meals exciting offers tailored for you on Zomato
