WOMAN DELIVERS BABY AT STATION, CLINIC STAFF PRAISED BY RAILWAY MINISTER

A 20-year-old woman travelling to Mumbai via Konkan Kanya Express gave birth to a baby boy at a clinic in Thane railway station on Saturday. The woman identified as Pooja Chauha started experiencing labour pain on a train ride early this morning.

All thanks to a two-year old court order, that helped the woman at the right time. According to NDTV reports, the woman went into active labour, a few stops before her destination in Mumbai. As soon as the train stopped at the Thane railway station, railway officials informed the station manager and she was taken on a stretcher to a 'One Rupee Clinic' where the staff helped her deliver a baby boy.

Confirming about the health of child and mother, news agency ANI said, both the mother and infant are doing fine confirmed doctors at the one-rupee clinic. In just one month time, the Thane railway station in Maharashtra has witnessed two successful childbirths.
