In his recent Facebook post, Mr. K Vijay Kumar (IPS) has clarified that he did not have the intention to resign from his post as Advisor to the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, but his tenure comes to an end.  Earlier, when the state of Jammu & Kashmir was bifurcated into two union territories after scrapping Article 370, there were some strong speculations that Mr. Vijay Kumar might be appointed as Lt. Governor of the union territory of J & K.

However, a few days ago, IAS officer Girish Chandra Murmu was appointed as the first Lieutenant-Governor of Jammu and Kashmir.

Putting an end to all the speculations, Mr. Vijay Kumar clarified that "His term as Advisor concludes".

Further, he thanked his fellow advisors and other officials as written in his below Facebook post.
