VIDEO: AIRASIA PILOT ESCAPES FROM PLANE WINDOW, AFTER SUSPECTED COVID-19 PASSENGERS ON BOARD

As fear is gripping people across the world due to the Coronavirus outbreak, an AirAsia India airlines pilot escaped from the cockpit window after landing. The pilot decided to exit from the cockpit window after it was announced that few suspected coronavirus-infected passengers were on board. 

Suspected COVID-19 Passengers, AirAsia Pilot Exits From Window

This incident happened on March 20 with AirAsia India's I5-732 Pune to New Delhi flight. According to NDTV reports, it was announced that the infected passengers were sitting in Row 1 of the flight. After the news went viral, the pilot escaped from the plane without much problem but the whole incident was recorded on camera.

Later after the incident, an AirAsia India spokesperson said, "Crew in the cockpit self-quarantined till the cabin environment near the primary exit was ascertained to be safe. The Captain elected to disembark from the secondary exit using a secure trestle, given the close proximity of the seats from the cockpit."

"Our crew are well trained for incidents of this nature and we would like to put on record our appreciation for their dedication in continuing to serve passengers with the utmost care in the current conditions," the spokesperson further added.    

However, samples of the suspected passengers returned negative, confirmed AirAsia India airlines. Meanwhile, watch the video below:
