MAN DIGS GRAVE FOR DEAD DAUGHTER, FINDS INFANT BABY GIRL BURIED ALIVE 3 FEET BELOW

In a shocking and bizarre case, a heartbroken father who was digging a pit to bury his own stillborn daughter who had died minutes after birth was shocked to see a newborn girl in an earthen pot.

The man is a trader, who hails from Uttar Pradesh found a newborn girl in a burial ground. He has been identified as Hitesh Kumar Sirohi, who rescued the girl and fed her milk using cotton.

Sirohi's wife Vaishali is a sub-inspector who is posted in Bareilly.

As per News18 report, Superintendent of Police Abhinandan Singh confirmed that the baby girl is currently admitted to a private hospital. "The woman was admitted to a private hospital after she complained of labour pain on Wednesday. On Thursday, she gave birth to a seven-month premature girl, who died within a few minutes," Singh told media.

Following the infant's death, Sirohi had gone to bury his daughter on the same day. "As the pit was being dug, at a depth of three feet, the spade hit an earthen pot, which was pulled out. There was a baby girl lying in it," the police added.

Sirohi was shocked to see the little girl who was alive and breathing heavily. He then rushed the baby to a district hospital. 

"As of now, her life has been saved. We are trying to trace the girl's mother or family," he added.

Currently, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Bareilly Vineet Shukla asserted that the responsibility for the girl's treatment has been taken up by Bithari Chainpur MLA Rajesh Mishra.
