Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has launched the YSR Rythu Bharosa-PM Kisan scheme that will provide input assistance of Rs.13,500 per year to all the eligible farmers in the state and by doing so, he fulfilled one of his election promises.

Jagan Mohan Launches Rythu Bharosa Scheme 54 Farmers to Benefit

“Despite financial constraints, my government is implementing this scheme eight months earlier than promised and giving ₹1,000 more than what was promised at the party plenary and during my padayatra,” Jagan Mohan was quoted as saying by The Hindu.

Reportedly, each farmer under the scheme will be credited Rs.7,500 before the start of the Kharif season, Rs.4,000 during harvesting period and Rs.2,000 at the time of Sankranti.

Farmers those who have been left out on the list can apply online or reach out to District Collector's office or the Mandal Revenue Office to include their names.

“The two-page poll manifesto of the YSR Congress Party is akin to the Bible or Quran for me. Economic growth is not just about GDP numbers. The condition of farmers should be better today than what it was yesterday. Only then we can assert to have made progress.” he was further quoted as saying.
