Initial ivestigations suggest that a suicide note was recovered near the victim's body. However, the contents of the note are yet to be confirmed.

In her complaint to the police, the woman claimed that she was visiting her parents in Badaun when the incident took place. On May 15, three of her relatives approached her, claiming that her husband was unwell and they were on their way to visit him, reports Times Now. The victim reportedly agreed to accompany them and they took her to Secunderabad city in Telangana where they allegedly confined her and took turns raping her for a week.

On her way back, she reportedly managed to call her parents and inform the ordeal. They rushed to Delhi railwaystation and rescued her.

Her complaint wasn't lodged in Delhi as the incident took place in Secunderabad. But she insisted that the case be lodged there as she lived in that area.

The SHO of Dataganj police station Amrit Lal has been suspended on charges of dereliction of duty, officials said.
