PHOTO VIRAL: BUS CONDUCTOR REFUSES TO STOP FOR STUDENT; GETS PUNISHED IN 'UNIQUE WAY'

Following traffic rules is mandatory, but if a bus conductor or driver does not abide to their rules then things can go serious with them too. Recently, a district collector of Malappuram city in Kerala punished a bus conductor in a very unique way, after the bus conductor ill-treated a student at a bus stop near Vengara town.

The bus conductor has been identified as Saheer Khan, and his unique punishment has been issued by district collector Jafar Malik to serve as a caretaker in a government children’s home for ten days.

The driver and the conductor have taken into custody while the bus is also seized by the motor vehicle department of Kerala.

As per Times Now News report, the driver and the conductor of the bus that was plying in Vazhikadavu-Parapanangadi route neglected a student passenger’s request to board the bus at a bus stop. The bus conductor and driver also turned a blind eye to the demands of other passengers to stop the bus for the student.

Hours after this incident, an issue was picked up by state Education Minister KT Jaleel after a passenger of the same bus posted details of the incident on Facebook. Following which, the minister directed the district collector to take strict action against the bus conductor and his assistants.

"I am hopeful that the conductor who has been punished would be transformed as a person who will understand and love children, after his service at children's home," Malik told reporters.

"The conductor will be allowed to resume his job only after he produces a certificate that will state he successfully completed his work at the children’s home," Malik added.
