WATCH VIDEO: BABY FALLS OFF SPEEDING CAR, AS PARENTS SLEEP OFF

In a shocking case, a one-year-old girl had fallen off a speeding car in the hilly, tourist town of Munnar on September 7. 

The chilling CCTV footage shows the baby who fell off the car then crawls across the deserted road in dark from the side of the forest. 

As per NDTV reports, a police officer in the town of Munnar in Kerala got a late night call stating that a baby has been found crawling in the middle of the road near a forest. It was the forest official who saw the baby crawling near a check post in the dark, she also had injuries on her head.  

The child's parents and extended family, who had dozed off in the SUV, did not realise that the baby had fallen off the car, NDTV further reported.

Hours later, the child was rescued and re-united with her parents. While speaking to media, Sub-Inspector Santosh KM, (who received the call late night), said that "I got the alarm call around 9:40 pm. By 10:00 pm, the infant was with us and medical aid was given. Messages were passed to all police station limits."

"By 11:00 pm, we got to know that a child missing complaint had been filed at one of the police stations around 6 km away. We called the parents and the child has been safely reunited," Sub-Inspector added.  

The whole family was returning home from Tamil Nadu after completing temple rituals.
