FATHER KILLS 8-MONTH-OLD BABY BECAUSE SHE IS A GIRL, DUMPS BODY IN RIVER

Mangaluru police arrested a man on Thursday, three days after he allegedly killed his eight-month-old daughter. According to police officials, during interrogation, the construction worker confessed to killing his daughter because she was a girl, reports The News Minute.

He has 2 daughters and wanted a boy. Since the third child was also a girl, he allegedly took leave citing illness and killed the baby, while his wife was out for work. He strangled the baby and dumped her body in the river Netravati, police said.

According to a complaint filed by the infant’s mother, on May 7, she left the baby with her husband to go to work. later in the noon, her relative informed her that the baby was missing. Upon arriaval her husband claimed that he had put the baby to sleep but the baby was missing.

The looked for the baby till evening when a relative informed them that the body of a baby had been found near Bolar ferry park on the banks of river Netravathi.
