The Narcotics Control Bureau who have been probing the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput from the drug angle, have arrested actor Rhea Chakraborty in connection the case. She has been charged under various sections of NDPS. A medical test will be held and she will be produced before the court along with three others who have been arrested so far.

Reportedly, the NCB might file a plea seeking police remand for the four people who have been arrested in order to conduct further questioning in remand. She will mostly probably be confronted along with others and will be taken to place for recovery if any. 

The NCB is reportedly of the view that it is important to interrogate Rhea to break the drug cartel.

Rhea was earlier questioned by the Enforcement Directorate as well as the CBI. She said in her interviews that she has never consumed drugs and would like to take medical tests to prove it. However, she claimed that Sushant would consume marijuana. 

“A total of eight people have been arrested till now by the NCB with six being directly linked to this probe while two were arrested by it when the investigation was launched under criminal sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act,” CNN News 18 reported. 

“When the probe in the case began, the agency had arrested two men, Abbas Lakhani and Karan Arora, for alleged drug peddling and officials have claimed that through them they reached Zaid Vilatra and Abdel Basit Parihar who are allegedly linked to this drugs case as they were in touch with Miranda,” the report added.
