As per an Economic Times report, the Harsh Goenka-led business group has also reshuffled its workplace policy to enable all sales employees to work remotely, while others will have the option to work from home 50 percent of the time.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, most of the business groups have shuttered down with most employees working remotely.

Other firms who have earlier announced similar moves are - companies like Tech Mahindra, who declared that they will eventually have close to 25-30 percent of its staff work from home permanently. However, few IT companies have also started transitioning to a hybrid workplace model.

Last month, Wipro Chairman Rishad Premji said that the company would look at permanent work from home options as over 90 percent of employees are already working remotely. Even companies like HCL Technologies have taken a stand asserting that WFH will not be a permanent feature for the firm.
