Sportswear giants Adidas on Wednesday announced the establishment of a robot-staffed Speedfactory in Atlanta, United States by 2017. The factory will reportedly feature 74,000 square feet of robot shoemaking capability, with full operational status target for the end of next year. The German-based company expects an output capacity of 50k pairs of shoes per year, also offering jobs to at least 160 people overseeing the factory.
