MAMMOOTTY-NAYANTHARA DEAL WITH AN INTER-CASTE MARRIAGE

Mammootty and Nayanthara will appear on screen once again this year after Bhaskar The Rascal. The two are teaming up for director AK Sajan's Puthiya Niyamam. The plot of the film revolves around an inter-caste couple, Advocate Louis Pothan and his wife Vasuki, played by the two stars, who are forced to face some adversities because of the different castes they are from. It is expected that the film will deal with the issues behind such marriages and how the couple overcomes them. Mammootty and Nayanthara have been on screen together before for the films Raappakal and Thaskaraveeran.

 

Puthiya Niyamam also features Aju Varghese, Rachna Narayanankutty and Vinay Forrt. The film was initially titled Solomonte Koodaram. The reasons for the change in title are not known yet though. The official first poster of the film was released on October 27th.

 

The film is being produced by P Venugopal and Geo Abraham.
