Ragini MMS 2 featuring Sunny Leone in the lead, attempts to join a long list of horror thrillers that have made it big at the Bollywood box office. With the presence of such a popular sex symbol in the cast, the film has a lot going in its favor as it looks to rake in the moolah.

It is a sequel to the 2011 film of the same name, and is about a film crew which camps at the very same haunted house where Ragini and her boyfriend Uday had undergone a terrorizing experience in the first part. Ragini becomes mentally disturbed after that incident and the MMS shot by Uday at the house goes viral, thereby making their story a public phenomenon.

This creepy story of Ragini is the plotline of the film (within the film), and Sunny Leone (she retains her name in the film too) is cast to reprise Ragini’s role. As time passes, Sunny is possessed by the spirit at the house and the spirit’s dark secrets are also uncovered. The ending is what you expect from a typical Indian horror movie but it does provide some chills and thrills. The film keeps offering some fleeting creepy moments before the intense finale where it all boils up and reaches a crescendo.

When we have the attractive Sunny in the lead role, we go to the hall expecting certain things in the movie and the director hasn’t disappointed the star’s legion of male admirers one bit. We have some hot love making scenes and many shots of Sunny’s curvy bod in sexy lingerie as she goes around the haunted house discovering its secrets. Plenty of eye candy indeed. You don't expect an award winning performance from her, do you? So let's not talk about her acting.

We also get to see a needless scene where Sunny and Sandhya Mridul make out, as a result of some kinky game. Sigh.

The quintessentially loud and dramatic background score, a few well shot visuals and the appropriate sets and props aid the movie’s eerie intentions.

There are just a couple of full-fledged numbers, one to introduce ‘Baby Doll’ Sunny to the audience and the other to introduce Yo Yo Honey Singh to say bye to the audience in the end credits. Both the numbers are groovy and foot-tapping.

Among the other actors in the cast, a few are employed to play the fool at the film’s shooting spot, a few get to cozy-up with Sunny while the seasoned Divya Dutta plays a doctor who gets to the root of the issue and resolves it.

Despite plenty of silly moments of boredom, a sluggish first half and the similarities to 'The Conjuring', Ragini MMS 2 does serve up a pretty watchable fare for fans of good old fashioned horror and of course Sunny Leone.

Verdict: A salable package which is all Sunny and partly Scary
