NEERJA’S FAMILY TO TAKE LEGAL ACTION AGAINST THE MAKERS OF NEERJA

Neerja which won the National Award for Best Film in Hindi is in trouble. Neerja was a biopic of Neerja Bhanot a 22-year-old cabin crew who sacrificed her life while trying to save the lives of passengers on the hijacked Pan Am Flight 73.

The biopic was made starring Sonam Kapoor playing Neeraj's character, the movie was produced by Fox Star Studio and Bling Unplugged, and it was co-produced by Atul Kasbekar. The makers had made an agreement of sharing 10% of profit to Neerja Bhanot Trust and Neerja's family. It is now believed from a North Indian daily that the family is highly disappointed with the makers who did not share the profit as promised and now the family is heading to file a case and proceed legally against the makers.
