Katrina Kaif’s new hero is Ranbir Kapoor’s friend!

Aditya Roy Kapur, who bears a strong resemblance to Farhan Akhtar was last seen in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani as Ranbir Kapoor’s friend and floored his fans. His Aashiqui 2 with Shraddha Kapoor did good business too. Next, he will be seen in a lead role in Fitoor to be directed by Abhishek Kapoor of Rock On and Kai Po Che fame.

This project will be funded by Disney UTV and will go on floors in early 2014. For the first time in his career, Aditya will romance Katrina Kaif. Fitoor is said to be inspired from Charles Dickens’s Great Expectations and reportedly Aditya will play the role of Pip and Katrina, Estella.

When Abhishek Kapoor was questioned about why he chose Aditya, he said, “I always look for young talents and Aditya fits the bill completely. He is perfect for the role that I had envisioned. I am very happy to have him on board.”
