Why did you choose April 14th for Sachein’s release while there are already two titans in the battle front?

We chose April 14 only because it is a festive occasion ... at that point I didn't even know that Rajinikanth and Kamal Hassan were planning their releases. They movies are of different cader, and it won’t affect mine. I'm too small a person in compared with Rajini and Kamal. Some people are trying to make politics out of this ... but I know my limit and where I stand. Humble words from a hero who has given three hits in a row and is all set for the fourth.

Why a romantic movie after all those action stuffs you were engaged with?

I've been doing action films for a long time. So I was looking for a romantic subject. Director Mahendran's son John approached me with a family story that had an ample dose of romance with action. I liked the story and Sachein was born.

Please tell us about the heroines of your film?

Sachin has two heroines, Genelia and Bipasha Basu. Both have different characteristics and have done well in the film.

Do you always prefer a new heroine for every film?

I don’t interfere with the choice of heroines. It is the director’s choice..

What will be your next film after Sachein?

My next film will be Sivakasi, which is produced by AM Rathnam and directed by Perarasu who directed Thirupaachi.
