Shriya who was last seen in Rajapattai in a special appearance, will be back in a Tamil film after a long gap. Kannada director Roopa Iyer has roped in the actress for her forth coming bilingual Chandra that will be made in Tamil and Kannada simultaneously.

Confirming the news the director has said that Shriya has accepted to do the lead role in the film. The film talks about the love story of a princess who lived post-independence and according to the director, it is a true story.

Kannada actor Prem Kumar will play the protagonist in the film. PHK Doss will take the spot behind the camera.
