CHAL MOHAN RANGA MOVIE REVIEW CLICK TO RATE THE MOVIE

In Chal Mohan Ranga, Director Krishna Chaitanya has taken a stereotypical love plot and laced it with a few decent romantic moments. Had it only not been for the weak plot, the film would have been an ideal entertainer for the summer.

The runtime of 2 hours and 28 minutes wasn’t apt for a wafer-thin script such as this. Moreover, the superfluous love scenes,  a couple of unwanted songs and a force-fitted action block could have all been avoided.

The initial portions of the film hardly had any grip and fell flat. Likewise, the latter part of the second half could be boring to a section of the audience.

The film's love story is built with a series of misunderstandings - some of the reasons for such misunderstandings look lame and hard to believe. There are plenty of comedy scenes but very few of them click, which is another drawback.

Nithiin delivers a neat performance as usual. The pretty looking Megha Akash’s acting prowess might not be great but her chemistry with Nithiin, however, worked wonders for the film.

SS Thaman delivers a cool album with a couple of hit tracks. His music captures the flavour of the movie to perfection. Natty’s camera works unobtrusively in line with the film and he makes his presence felt in the song sequences.

In short, Chal Mohan Ranga could have been so much better, with little more effort from the scripting team!
