Vijay’s Mersal teaser reaches another significant milestone as it crosses the magical two crore YouTube view mark today, 26th of September. Mersal teaser was a complete package that had something for every film lover.
This video took less than five days to achieve this stupendous feat. Only two Tamil film teaser has crossed 20 million YouTube views till date, and none have made it this quick. It has also garnered close to 9 lakh likes and no film teaser till date has crossed 1 million likes.

Mohanlal's Villain to release for Diwali on the 19th of October. Vishal has also played a pivotal role in this Malayalam film. Vijay's Mersal would be releasing on the 18th. So Mersal would have a tough competitor at Kerala box office.
It must be noted that this is the 3rd time Vijay-Vishal films are releasing at the same time. The previous occasions were:
Pokkiri - Thaamirabharani (2007 Pongal)
Kaththi - Poojai (2014 Diwali)
