Mersal has taken a solid start even in the overseas markets. This Vijay starrer has been released in the USA by ATMUS and they have updated us the official collection of Mersal from premiere shows alone through their Twitter space.
"#Mersal Premiere $357925 from 132 locs ended in #9 in top 10 USA Box Office for Tuesday with highest per loc average in the top 10!". Apparently, this is the biggest opening ever for a non-Rajini Tamil film in America.

Lyricist Vivek who revealed the full lyrics of the bonus track in Mersal 'Maayon', has kept Vijay fans pumped up by informing them that there would a Mersal surprise tomorrow, 11th of October.
He tweeted:

Keep Guessing... 😍
Tomorrow evening ..
You r in for a surprise 😉"
When fans asked if it was about Maayon song lyrics, he replied saying, "No .. its already released... Idhuku mela ungala kuzhapa virumbala. Wil c u tomorrow..Worth d wait for all fans 😍".
So what is the surprise about? Will the 5th song Maayon or Mersal theme track release tomorrow? We will have to wait and see.
