Starring Madhavan and Ritika Singh in lead roles, the hugely successful bilingual sports drama was directed by Sudha Kongara who made 'Soorarai Pottru' in 2020. Prabhu teaches Madhi, a slum girl who has little knowledge about boxing while making his way through the muddy politics in the boxing association. The songs and the story were a huge hit and Sudha Kongara herself remade the movie in Telugu as 'Guru' (2017).
