NEETHAN EN KANAVU - THAMEZHARASAN
It almost looks like Ilaiyaraaja made up his mind to rekindle old spirits and prove to the world that his old guard still have it in them. In Thamizharasan he has made Yesudoss and given himself a song as well. But how could he not make his greatest asset perform for him? SPB makes a smashing return in this song where he emotes probably even better than the actor on screen. The song is set in Sindhubharavi raaga and its paragraphs are brilliantly sung by the great vocalist who makes you wonder how one can still sing at the highest level with such splendour.
