Songs can either sparkle joy or disappoint in the very first few seconds and thats at least what I believe. It certainly happened for this single from Takkar. Sid Sriram starts off from the get-go and when he sings, one thing is extremely difficult - turning attention away. The acoustical guitar simply amplifies the attraction and two additional vocals from Nivas Prasanna ( the composer himself) and Alex Samuel Jenito is just very refreshing and fun to probably hear and sing. The lines that follow turn on the melody by more than a few notches. The mission is complete and you will be humming the lines straight away. Naveen Iyer entices you more into the song with his flute solo.
Then we don't have a traditional stanza but what accompanies is the rap-styled singing by Gautam Vasudev Menon who impressed me as a good singer when he performed at a tribute show for AR Rahman. Malvi Sundaresan then takes over from GVM and does something which is almost impossible to achieve these days, matching Sid Sriram in delivering the melody of a song in its purest form. I couldn't find much about this singer other than links that talk about this song. Malvi's singing is pure delight and like an icing on this delicious cake of a song. The guitar is by the rockstar Keba Jeremiah and Bass guitar responsibilities go to Manikandan V. Ku Karthik provides the beautiful lyrics for the song. Harmonies belong to Niranjana Raman, Deepthi Suresh and Ala B Bala.
