3. THALAIVI - VIDYA VOX
I have heard about Vidya Vox so much and she is already a favourite for many Indian music listeners. But here in this song she combines her singing with an excellent Tamil rural and folk instrumental arrangement. The use of thara thappatai and chorus humming set the perfect tone for a kuthu dance as they would say. The english lyrics elevate the role of women in our society and full marks to Vidya Vox for not only singing it with such a cool attitude but also making a very watchable video. This would surely become a favourite dance number.
