Acting wasn’t Suhasini’s first choice, who was one of first women to pass out of the Madras Film Institute. When director Mahendran offered her the lead role of Nenjathai Killathe, she only reluctantly agreed. So branching out into other aspects of movie making was only a matter of time for her. She’s omnipresent in Mani’s movies either by dubbing for his film’s female leads or assisting him. Her directorial debut Indira was released in 1996 and most recently she penned dialogues for Raavanan 2010.
