Jiiva was Arya’s bête noir in Boss Engira Baskaran. But this time around director Rajesh turned some stereotypes on their heads. Jiiva does wear the suit in defiance of the scorching heat but mainly, we are told to find accommodation for his booze. And he can swear with the best of them and is always game for a good fight. In the end, he helps the hero’s cause and in so doing proves that not all American Mappillais are puffed up pansies.
