Though Himesh Reshammiya did bring in a strong ‘Hindi-belt’ feeling to the songs, Kamal’s painstaking efforts and good editing added a lot of appeal to the songs. Of course the foot tapping number ‘oh ho sanam’, the melodious ‘kallai mattum’ and ‘mukunda’ stayed on the charts for quite a while. Mukunda, again, had an amusing picturization, which Kamal is so good at conceiving! The drama behind the ‘kallai mattum’ scene was tempered by the moving rhythm of the melody! Good choice of tune.
