Santhana Devan's villain Sulile Kumar talks to Behindwoods about his projects

Director Ameer recently made the headlines with the first look poster of his next film Santhana Devan which talks about Jallikattu. The film stars Arya and his brother Sathya in the lead roles.

Sulile Kumar, the actor who featured in films like Kaalai and Thagaraaru is said to be the chosen one to play the lead villain of the film.

When we spoke to Sulile about his role and how he got the chance, this is what he had to say, “I am very happy to associate with Ameer sir. I just got into films when his film Paruthiveeran was about to release and now to act in his film is like a dream come true.”

Speaking about his role, “I play the antagonist in the film and since the film takes place in cities like Madurai and Theni, I had to change my appearance to a rugged native Madurai boy look. I have been growing a thick beard for the film now and will get the rural look in a week’s time. We will start shooting for the film in the month of February and I am told that my role would be an extensive one which would travel throughout the film.”

On how he got the offer, “When I discussed with the team, I was told, Ameer sir had watched me in Kunguma Poovum Konjum Puravum and I guess he should have thought I would do justice to this role on seeing my role in the film. I was not even auditioned and Ameer sir directly started telling me about my role in the film.”

We wish Sulile Kumar and Santhana Devan team all the very best!
