"X VIDEOS IS NOT THE REASON FOR RIYAMIKKA'S SUICIDE" - DIRECTOR CLARIFIES

Actress Riyamikka committed suicide, who hung herself to death recently. She was 26 years old, who acted in films like Kundrathile Kumaranukku Kondattam and X Videos. There were a few rumours on the social media speculating that the reason behind Riyamikka's suicide could be X Videos (film) and a depressing phase in her film career.
 

However, the film's director Sajo Sundar denied those rumours as baseless allegations and clarified that Riyamikka felt happy to have acted in X Videos. He also added that the police officials will soon, find the real reason behind her suicide.

In his recent statement, director Sajo said, "The reason behind the suicide of Riyamikka is not yet known and it is a mystery. There are many rumours surrounding her suicide.

Riyamikka acted in my film, X Videos, which is an awareness film and not an adult film. People who saw the film know the real subject and theme of X Videos. The film released in June in very less number of screens, and very limited people only happened to watch it in the theatres.

Rumours are afloat that Riyamikka was criticised and made fun, for acting in X Videos, and that could be the reason for her suicide. I would like to inform that it is not the reason, and do not spread false rumours. Infact, Riyamikka was very happy to be a part of X Videos, and told me that she felt proud after acting in the film. She also got other movie offers, post the release of X Videos.

Her death has shocked us, and at this time, me and my entire team of X Videos offer our condolences to Riyamikka's family. Police officials are investigating the case and we will get to know the real reason soon. The person who triggered Riyamikka to commit suicide will be found."
