Pon Parthiban was the co-writer for the film. He has also written Karthi starrer 'Kaithi' which was also directed by Kanagaraj. His other films include Vishal's 'Irumbu Thirai' and Sivakarthikeyan's 'Hero'.

The famous writer, we hear from sources, is all set to make his directorial debut and Actress Jyotika is expected to play the lead for his film. The movie is likely to be bankrolled by Suriya's production house 2D Entertainment. An official information regarding the same is expected to be announced soon.

It is to be noted that this is not the first time that the writer is working with Jyotika. Pon Parthiban has also written dialogues for Jyotika's last film 'Ponmagal Vandhal' (2020) and also for Radha Mohan's 'Kaatrin Mozhi' (2018).

Meanwhile, Suriya is awaiting the release of her upcoming rural drama 'Udan Pirappe' starring herself and Sasikumar in lead roles. The movie, directed by Era Saravanan is slated to release on Amazon Prime Video in October.
