Sembaruthi is one of the popular serials on television. Actor Karthik Raj, who was playing the role of Adithya Purushothaman, is being replaced on the show.
“We take this opportunity to appreciate the dedication and hardwork of Mr. Karthik Raj who has immensely contributed to the success of the program, Sembaruthi. While we are happy to have been associated with Mr. Karthik Raj, due to unforeseen reasons, he will be replaced in the program,” Zee Tamil recently issued a statement.
The lead will henceforth be played by VJ Agni. Watch Agni’s heartfelt message below.
Sembaruthi debuted in 2017 and is inching towards 900 episodes. The family drama portrays the relationship between Adithya (Karthik Raj) and his mother Akhilandeswari (Priya Raman). Adithya falls for maid Parvathy (Shabana) and marries her. What happens next forms the major crux of the story.
