Vikram sings Malare from Premam in Behindwoods Gold Medal 2015

Behindwoods Gold Medal Awards 2015 was held on 24th July at Lady Andal auditorium in Chennai which was MCed by Robo Shankar and VJ Ramya who kept the audience alive with their sharp wit and timely humor. There were quite a few interesting snippets and we bring you a few.

 

1. Raghava Lawrence heeding to the audience’s request had put his best foot forward and did an energetic step that brought the hall down with applause.


2. Best playback singer –Male went to AR Ameen, the young school going son of AR Rahman. He was so cutefully shy that he did not want to sing. It was such an awww moment for the audience.


3. Chiyaan Vikram mouthed his famous dialogue ‘oru chaami, rendu chaami… ’from Saamy and also ‘adhukkum mela’ from I, in the same tone and vigor and captivated his audience. He also did the ‘O Podu’ gesture stylishly.


4. Vikram tried to sing Malarae from Premam with the vain help from Jayam Ravi who also did not seem to know the lyrics.  So Vikram ended up just humming the tune.


5. Jayam Ravi jocularly stated that while nice looking actresses will appear in men’s dreams, it was only his brother Mohan Raja who tormented in his dreams every night when he was doing Thani Oruvan.


6. Vikram said he took 23 takes to just say ‘Sir’ in SP Muthuraman’s Kaaval Geetham during his struggling period to get a foothold in the industry, when SPM gave him this chance.


7. G Dhananjayan of BOFTA said that it was only Panchu Arunachalam who brought horror comedy to Tamil cinema through Kalyanaraman and also the concept of sequels.
