A DAY TO REMEMBER FOR ALL VIJAY FANS!

After facing quite a few hiccups just prior to the 4 am show, this time around - last year, Ilayathalapathy Vijay became Thalapathy Vijay with director Atlee's Mersal. The film released worldwide to a massive and record-breaking opening.

Mersal had Samantha, Kajal Aggarwal and Nithya Menen playing the three female leads alongside a triple Thalapathy. AR Rahman delivered a successful album, and GK Vishnu and Ruben provided fine visuals.

The film broke records in terms of box office collections all over the world, especially setting standards in the TN box office and in France as well. 

While Vijay's next film Sarkar with AR Murugadoss gets ready for a grand release, here's to celebrating the first year anniversary for Mersal!
