It was earlier reported that the shoot of 'Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal', directed by Vignesh Shivan is nearing completion. Samantha had also shared pictures from the sets and confirmed that the shoot has resumed and she's "back to work" and shared pictures from Puducherry.

Recently Vijay sethupathi met Puducherry CM Rangaswamy in person and spoke to him regarding his professional life. He was seen discussing the movies he made and how each one fared. Informing the CM about his latest film 'Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal', Vijay Sethupathi also discussed about the fees collected for shooting in the union territory.

He said that the fees has been raised to Rs 28,000 from Rs 5000 and noted that it might impact filmmakers making small budget films. Replying to this, the CM Rangaswamy and his office assured him that they'll look into the issue and take action accordingly.

The movie will see the team of Anirudh Ravichander, Nayanthara, Vignesh Shivan and Vijay Sethupathi reunite after a gap of five years after 'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan' in 2015. The film is jointly produced by Seven Screen Studio and Rowdy Pictures.

Vijay Sethupathi, who's busy with the shoot of MasterChef Tamil, has 'Vikram' with Kamal Haasan, 'Laabam' and many more projects including a web series with 'The Family Man' creators Raj and DK. Samantha had recently wrapped up the shoot of her Telugu movie 'Shaakuntalam', directed by Gunasekhar. Nayanthara has Superstar Rajinikanth's Annaatthe, Director Atlee's biggie with Shah Rukh Khan and an untitled next with debutant Filmmaker GS Viknesh.
