Noted Malayalam Actor KTS Padannayil, who is known for his roles in 'Vrudhanmare Sookshikkuka' (1995), 'Independence' (1999) and 'Vamanapuram Bus Route' (2004), passed away at a hospital in Kochi. He was 88.

KTS Padannayil, who is known for his comedy roles, entered the film industry through drama. He made his debut in the movie 'Aniyan Bava Chetan Bava' in 1995 and rose to fame with his role as a comedian in movies directed by Rajasenan.

Before acting in movies, he performed at different drama troupes like Vaikom Malavika, Changanassery Geetha, Kollam Tuna, Attingal Padmashree, and Edakochi Sargachethana.

In his film career spanning nearly two decades, Padannayil has acted in more than 60 films. Many celebrities including Prithviraj Sukumaran, Vineeth Srinivasan and others expressed grief after his demise.
