Arjun Reddy which had Vijay Devarakonda and Shalini Pandey in the lead roles gave a great break for both the actors. The movie did exceptionally well and was celebrated not just by the people from Andhra Pradesh but also in some of the other parts of South India.

This Tollywood movie is being remade in both Hindi and Tamil languages. Tamil remake of the movie is titled Varma with Dhruv Vikram reprising the role of Vijay Devarakonda from the original and Megha Chowdary plays the female lead. The movie is directed by Bala with the music scored by Radhan. The team released a teaser video on September 23, 2018.

Varma's first single, Vaanodu Mannodu lyrical video has been released now. The lyrics are penned by Vairamuthu. The movie would most certainly be out in the first week of February 2019.
