The Tamil Nadu government's decision to allow theatres to open at 100 per cent occupancy attracted a lot of criticism. Later, the Ministry of Home Affairs also flagged the same. Now, while the government has taken back the order, it has allowed for the releases to have more screens.

This has come as a relief for big-ticketed releases such as Vijay's Master and STR's Eeswaran as theatre business has been quite dull.

Master is helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and the film will also feature Vijay Sethupathi, Malavika Mohanan, Andrea, Shanthnu, Arjun Das, Gouri G Kishan amongst others in the lead roles.

The film's runtime is said to be exactly for 2 hours and 56 minutes. The latest we have on the film is that it will be dubbed into Kannada as well.

Simbu’s Eeswaran on the other hand is bankrolled by Balaji Kapa under the banner of Madhav Media. The music of Eeswaran is composed by S Thaman. The Susienthiran directorial has Nidhhi Agerwal as the leading lady.
