Director Lingusamy's previously helmed film was the action film Sandakozhi 2, sequel to his 2005 cult hit Sandakozhi. The film starred Vishal, Keerthy Suresh, Rajkiran and Varalakshmi Sarthkumar in central roles. The film was jointly produced by Vishal Film Factory in association with Pen India Limited.

This villain joins Lingusamy and Ram Pothineni's next RAPO 19 ft Chirag Jani

Post which, the director is all set to take up a bilingual project which will have him teaming up for the first time with this popular Tollywood hero - Ram Pothineni. This yet-to-be-titled film is produced by Srinivasaa Silver Screen.

Krithi Shetty, a newbie and a sensation in tinsel town, will be pairing up with Ram Pothineni in this upcoming flick. Touted to be an out-and-out mass action film laced with stylish elements, director Lingusamy is going to have his trademark style in the film.

It was recently announced that actor Aadhi will be seen as an antagonist in this film. Now, here comes another mass news from the team. The director has taken to his social media and wishing Suriya starrer Kaappaan villain, Chirag Jani on his birthday, tweeted, “Wishing you a very happy birthday @JaniChiragjani & a great year starting with #RAPO19.”
