Kavitha Lakshmi was a well known Malayali actress who was launched in Mollywood in the year 1996. She has acted with superstars like Mammooty, Mohanlal and many others, apart from playing major roles in many serials, the best known being Sthreedhanam.

But her current situation is far from her past glory. Due to a gradual reduction in movie and serial offers, combined with the financial pressures of trying for foreign education for her son left her with a lot of debt. Unable to cope, she has now resorted to having a thattukada (small scale food stall) to maintain her family.

Adding to this, she is reportedly unwell now. However, she has not lost hope and has said that she will try her maximum to survive without any external help. Hats off to her!
