However, in December 2020, Rajinikanth had disappointed the hopes of thousands of his supporters by backing off from the decision of launching his political party due to health-related issues.
After returning from the US where he had gone for his medical treatment, the Superstar on Monday (July 12) had told that he might reconsider his decision on not joining electoral politics and thereby would discuss these issues with the office-bearers of Rajini Makkal Mandram and inform his final decision.
Today, Superstar took to his social media platform and shared an official update about it. He has put a full stop to his political entry, and post which, the following might be his action plan on the professional front.
Rajinikanth is all set to travel to Calcutta on July 14th for final schedule of Siva directorial ANNAATTHE, for which his shoot schedule is expected for a duration of 4 days. After the same, the rest of the cast and crew are expected to stay there and complete shooting, wrapping up the movie. Stay tuned for more official updates!
