STR aka Simbu’s Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven directed by Sundar.C and produced by Lyca Productions released in theatres last week on February 1. The movie also stars Megha Akash, Mahat, Catherine Tresa, Nasser, Ramya Krishnan, Prabhu, and others. Hiphop Tamizha is the music director.
VRV released along with few other Tamil movies Peranbu, Sarvam Thaala Mayam and Sagaa. By the end of the 1st weekend, the movie collected ₹ 1.35 crores at the Chennai Box Office and got an Above Average Opening verdict. The collections are done by the Behindwoods Box Office Wing and no details were shared by the distributors or the producer.
With Petta and Viswasam continuing to hold a good number of shows in their 4th weekend, It will be interesting to watch how the new films will fare at the Box Office. There are many small films releasing next week on February 7th along with Santhanam's Dhilluku Dhuddu 2.
